WebApr 6, 2024 · Mine is a 125W model. 250W might be the way to go considering how much oil is in these engines. The circulating heater is the way to go. It starts easily down to -35°C, and I get heat much, much more quickly. I'm not sure why frostheater.com does not have one listed for the 2013+ 3.0TDI. Mine's installed at the US PS rear of the engine.

As a result the coolant is heated up VERY fast in this engine and the engine gets to optimal temperature much much faster in winter. Combine with super low viscosity oil being used and you don't need any heaters. Interesting.
