The IFMAR committee decided to change that to just taking your best 3 consecutive laps during the full 10 minute run. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2024 event was cancelled, so it has been four years since the last 1:8 World Championship where the Italian young driver Davide Ongaro won his first World Championship in Australia driving his Team Associated buggy.
